Brandon Larkin (Brandonlarkin in-game) is a popular and skilled British player and level creator in Geometry Dash. He has completed numerous Extreme Demons, notably Cataclysm, The Hell Factory, Bloodbath, Deception Dive, aftermath, Hatred, Twisted Tranquility, Carnage Mode, Killbot, Artificial Ascent, Digital Descent, Titan Complex, Erebus, xo, Cybernetic Crescent, Ocular Miracle (Reverie, Faith and Diligence combined into one level), kowareta, Arctic Lights, Ouroboros, Bloodlust, Ragnarok, and his current hardest Demon, Zodiac, beaten on 2 March 2023. He is also known for being one of the best Geometry Dash players using a controller.
One of his hardest Demons at the time was WOW, which he completed on 21 August 2020. It was his third hardest at the time according to the Demonlist, although he considered it to be his second hardest as he thought that Titan Complex was easier. He is the first person to complete either of these levels mentioned on a controller, and he currently remains the only one for Titan Complex, as a player named Joshua28 also beat WOW on a controller nine days later. Brandon beat Artificial Ascent for his 200th Geometry Dash episode on 20 September 2019, which was, at the time, his close-second hardest Demon, after Killbot. On 2 September 2021, he beat Cybernetic Crescent, thus completing the technology trilogy.
On 8 February 2023, Brandon beat Arctic Lights, which was his new hardest Demon after a two year hiatus, his previous hardest being kowareta, which he beat on 1 June 2020.
He verified TerrorCore by Kallari and MaJackO on July 2, 2023. It is deemed to be around hard Insane Demon to easy Extreme Demon difficulty.
He has a secondary YouTube channel called SurvKin, a collaboration channel with Surv, his friend. They played hardcore games, including Geometry Dash. Currently, on their channel, there is Super Hexagon and Super Meat Boy. As of January 2018, they only uploaded three videos on their channel and it remains inactive.
History[]
He uploaded his first Geometry Dash video on 20 January 2015, in which he played Cant Let Go. He then played all the game's title levels before starting to play rated online levels. He was still considered a novice Geometry Dash player, and his channel flatlined for months. He completed his first Hard Demon, Theory of FirePower, on 7 June 2015 and then beat Deadly ClubStep soon after. His channel started to grow, and he attempted more challenging levels. After he beat Old Cataclysm and Necropolis, players such as Michigun and Andromeda started to take notice of his skill. As his channel grew, he focused more on Geometry Dash and slowly stopped playing all other games. He played through all of 1.9 and added Demons such as The Ultimate Phase[1] and 8o[2] to his Demon completion list. One of his most significant achievements at that time, however, was beating Bloodbath on 16 August 2016,[3] which was the hardest level in the game at the time, and was number one on the Demonlist, putting him in the same regard as the best players at the time, such as Riot, Cyclic and Sunix.
However, in 2.0, his activity in Geometry Dash declined sharply; at the beginning of 2.1, he was barely active. With his video titled 'The Future Of This Channel' posted on 6 June 2018,[4] and him uploading 'Pimpa complete'[5] then not uploading for six months, most people thought he had retired. However, to everyone's surprise, he returned and uploaded completions of Falling Up and Theory of Insomnia.
His channel began to show consistent activity, mixing Geometry Dash with games such as I am Bread, Skate 3 and Black Ops 1. He was continuing his Demon completion list and had also created an Extreme Demon list with levels he would try to beat once he reached certain milestones; it contains levels such as Twisted Tranquility and Deception Dive as the easiest and Bloodlust as the hardest.
On 14 July 2019, he beat Carnage Mode for his hardest Demon after 10,556 attempts.[6] This was quickly removed from its position by Killbot, which he beat on 22 August.[7] A month later, he beat Artificial Ascent for his 200-episode special, which became his second hardest Demon.[8] On 16 November, he beat Titan Complex, which was his hardest Demon at the time.[9] On 24 January 2020, he beat Digital Descent, claiming it as his second-hardest Demon.[10] On 1 June 2020, he beat kowareta, which was his hardest for more than two years and remained the hardest Demon beaten on a controller until Joshua28's controller-completion of Cognition on 22 July 2020. Brandon beat Arctic Lights as his next hardest Demon on 8 February 2023,[11] after which he set to complete his Zodiac ladder (originally a Crimson Planet ladder), in which he beats Demons and works his way up the ladder, with the last Demon on the ladder being Zodiac. He has beaten every Demon on the ladder, the Demons on the ladder being as follows (in order): Volume, Ithacropolis, Ziroikabi, Delta Interface, ZAPHKIEL, Prismatic Haze, xo, A Bizarre Phantasm, Bass Cave, Cybernetic Crescent and Zodiac, which he beat on 2 March 2023, completing the ladder.
