Not to be confused Breakthrough by ZenthicAlpha.
Breakthrough is a 1.9 Hard Demon created by Hinds. The level is one of the first 1.9 levels ever to be uploaded in Geometry Dash, cementing itself as one of the most iconic levels from the update. It was initially considered incredibly difficult upon release due to heavy reliance on memorization, but nowadays, players generally consider the level as a Medium/Hard Demon.
The level was later updated in 2.0 to feature User Coins.
Gameplay[]
The level starts with a complex mini-cube memory segment filled with fake orbs marked by Xs and invisible blocks. After a brief automatic transition, it ramps up to triple speed as the player transforms into a ship. Initially, the ship segment challenges players with precise flying through orb-filled corridors. At 27%, it switches briefly to a memory challenge with various block shapes and entry points to remember. After more ship flying, a normal-speed cube section follows at 36%. The pace accelerates again to triple-speed at 38%, introducing a ball memory segment reminiscent of Supersonic's 78% ball. This continues until 49%, where an asymmetrical dual section begins, featuring numerous size portals and requiring memorization. Another cube transition leads into a triple-speed wave section. Starting as a big wave, it shifts to a mini-wave halfway through. Following another cube transition, the level concludes with a final triple-speed cube section with similar gameplay as the opening segment.
User coins[]
This level contains 3 user coins.
- The first user coin is located at 29%, at the first ship sequence. The player must carefully go through a gravity portal where the coin is located, which is under an "L" shaped 1.4 block.
- The second user coin is located at the first mini wave mode at 74% on the top of the gravity portal. The player must get the second coin with crucial timing or else they will crash.
- The third user coin is located at 92% at the last mini cube segment. The player must jump off onto a ramp, skipping the normal route, heading straight to the last user coin. There is a blue pad that leads the player back onto the regular path.
