BuTiTi is a 2.0 solo Harder 7* level created, verified, and published by JonathanGD. It was uploaded in 2016 and is widely known as his first successful level and the level that first showcased him as a talented creator. It is the first installment of the BuTiTi Trilogy and the official prequel to BuTiTi II. Its gameplay is both skill and memorization-based.

Gameplay[]

  • 0-5%: A straightforward and easy slow-speed cube with a few simple jumps.
  • 5-10%: Slow-speed ship part which is fairly easy albeit requiring some decent maneuvering due to the moving obstacles. The ship becomes mini halfway through.
  • 10-15%: A normal speed UFO part that relies on click patterns and some simple timings. There are a few gravity switches here, but nothing too difficult. Note that at 14%, the player must either stay down (auto and much easier) or hug the upper ceiling due to the smiley face obstacle moving towards the player.
  • 15-17%: A cube part with two misleading blue orbs. This merely serves as a transition to the next double-speed robot part.
  • 17-25%: A memorization-based robot section with a few tricks and traps that becomes muscle memory once learned.
  • 25-34%: A similar memorization-based ball section with a lot of slopes.
  • 34-44%: A slow-speed section with the background being several smiley creatures that bounce up and down, somewhat similar to the background of the official level Geometrical Dominator. This section starts with a mini cube at 39%, transitions into a mini robot. Despite the gameplay looking pretty basic, this part is harder than it seems due to the player only being able to see a small circular portion of the screen (which requires some memorization of upcoming jumps). Also, there are a few places where jumps have to be either timed slightly early or slightly late to avoid crashing. At 43%, this part becomes auto to prepare the player for the next part.
  • 44-51%: A regular-sized wave that is rather straightforward, followed by a much harder mini-wave section that has two sections that require controlled spam-clicking.
  • 51-60%: First, a memory-based ball section with a couple of misleading jump orbs but straightforward once learned. Then, at 56%, the player transitions to an easier mini cube section which eventually becomes auto to prepare for the drop of the level.
  • 60-70%: A lot goes on in this section. The first part of this section is straightforward, being a robot section with a few easy jump orbs and jumps. The next part is a ship section requiring some decent straight-flying skills, followed by a UFO-Mini-Wave-UFO-Mini Wave-UFO alternating sequence. The UFO sections are rather trivial as they require a couple of simple taps, but the mini-wave parts are quite difficult, requiring fast but controlled spamming, much like at the mini-wave section at 48%.
  • 70-80%: This part starts with a straightforward cube section with a couple of tricky slopes, then transitions to a ball section with one misleading blue orb. After that follows a Normal Wave-Ball-Normal Wave-Ball alternating sequence, in which a bit of memorization (due to the seemingly confusing slopes and the fast pace of this part) is required for the ball sections. This part of the drop is considerably easier than 60%-70% due to the absence of really tight spaces and spamming.
  • 80-90%: This is arguably the hardest part of the level. It exemplifies what will become a signature element in many of JonathanGD's later levels: mixed/asymmetrical duals. The dual starts with a comparatively straightforward Cube-Cube dual with a couple of tricks and timings but is not too bad. Both cubes then transition to become balls, in which midway through this subsection, the bottom ball becomes a UFO. Note the trick for this part is focusing on the top ball since it requires much more precise timing than the bottom vehicle, which merely goes along with it. However, at the end of the Ball-UFO dual at 86%, the player has to focus on the UFO and spam it so it can reach the top ship portal. The next section is a Ship-Wave dual, in which controlled spamming is required to pass this part. The last part of this dual, the Cube-Robot dual, is the easiest part of 80%-90%, and the player has to jump three times to pass this part, all of the jumps being slightly late.
  • 90-100%: After three timing-free pink orbs, this part entails a mini cube section with a couple of timings to avoid the "trails of monsters," but not too hard. The cube then becomes auto for a few seconds, and the final obstacle at 98%/99% is a triple spike with the text "Michigun" above it.

Trivia[]

  • The password for the level is 623256, which is the same as the Song ID.
  • The level contains 30,000 objects.
  • The level is 1m 59s in length.
  • Many players think this level is very underrated difficulty-wise (being only Harder 7*) and should be an Easy Demon or Medium Demon due to the timings, memorization, and tight spaces throughout. However, even after many complaints and 6 years of the level being uploaded, no change to the rating has been made.
  • At 43%, the text ""I'm coming for the BuTiTi!" 8') - kRuBeX 2k16" can be briefly seen flashing in the background.
  • If the player dies at the last triple spike, the words "Every level needs a triple" will pop up in red.
  • The name of the series could be a reference to the place Butiti in Indonesia, Jonathan's home country.
  • Despite being the first installment of the Butiti series, its sequels Butiti II and Butiti III are way more known
