Deimos is a 2.1 Extreme Demon mega-collaboration hosted and published by ItsHybrid and verified by Doggie on 5 August 2023. It is the official sequel to the 1.9/2.0 Extreme Demon level Phobos.[Note 1] The level shares similarities in design to its predecessor, utilising a traditional 1.9-themed style with a mix of modern-styled decorations as well as some parts that are reminiscent of its predecessor.
The final instalment of the Phobos Trilogy called Elysium Mons is in progress.

A sequel for Phobos[]
The idea of a Phobos sequel has been in the works since 2016, after the verification of the predecessor. The original creators of Phobos initially decided to start the sequel known as 'Phobos X', which is a fixed and redecorated version of the unnerfed Phobos, set to be verified by Kubson. However, the level would soon die down due to inactivity.
On February 21, 2017, a player named Landest uploaded a preview for the official sequel known as 'Deimos' hosted by GMTSean.[1] However, no more previews of the mega-collaboration has been uploaded since.

Verification progress[]
Blitzer was originally the official verifier for Deimos. Blitzer made her announcement video on 2 July 2021.[2] Soon after the level's completion, Blitzer began making progress on the level, getting 64-100% and 46-92% on 26 February 2022.[3] Although it would take her nearly four months to make further progress, getting 46-100% on 18 July 2022,[4] followed by her first progress from 0%, getting 32% nearly a month later.[5] Blitzer's final record on the level was 38%, achieved on 12 September 2022.[6] Afterwards, no further progress was made by Blitzer in the following months, signifying that she had already dropped the level.
The verification would later be passed down to Cursed, who achieved 55% on 14 October 2022 after over 5,000 attempts.[7] However, Cursed would no longer upload more progress within the level, dropping it due to school before passing it to Thnnder.[8] Thnnder also got a 55-100% run on 6 February 2023,[9] followed by a 41-93% run on a buffed version on 7 February 2023.[10] Thnnder would make his last progress of 45% on 9 February 2023 before passing it to Doggie.[11][8] Eventually, after six months, Doggie verified the level on 5 August 2023, after 43,818 attempts.
Gameplay[]
Note: If a player's name is italicised, the player has created gameplay in the section featured. If a player's name is underlined, the player has created decoration in the section featured.
- 0-2% (pocke): Deimos starts with pocke's part, being a difficult mini-cube consisting of timed jumps. After hitting the second-last blue orb, the player's cube goes normal-sized before entering the next part. pocke's part uses a monochrome colour scheme, and the gameplay is reminiscent of Kobazz's part in Phobos.
- 2-6% (Wespdx): The next section goes into a greyscale cube part with numerous fake routes and orbs. The section goes into brief tight wave and ship segments halfway. This part's design resembles Tandrii's part in Phobos, albeit having a diversified game-mode instead of solely wave.
- 6-9% (Isane): Isane's part takes inspiration from Technet's cube part in Phobos, consisting of crucial timings and fake routes and orbs to mislead the player.
- 9-12% (maxfs): Afterwards, the level goes into a difficult yet brief ship segment, followed by a brief mini-cube section, then again to ship, focusing on straight-flying. Another brief cube section follows before a difficult UFO segment utilising rotating orbs and orb jumps.
- 12-15% (Iris): A very tight section consisting of choosing the correct path whilst performing numerous straight flying as a ship. The level then goes into a brief half-speed ball section, followed by a tight double-speed wave segment.
- 15-18% (Polli + Enixy): The next part is a cube part which shares similarities to the previous part utilising fake routes, followed by a difficulty ball section in the second half before the screen fades into black, transitioning to the next segment.
- 18-22% (Cersia): The next part is a difficult ship segment, where the player must hit a blue orb before entering a single-speed- and mini-size portal next to a very tight gap to progress. Afterwards, they must enter a cube portal with a green orb behind it. This mini-cube consists of timed orb jumps before being followed by a difficult ball mode and then a ship part. A brief cube mode is present between the aforementioned parts.
- 22% (GDSkele): GDSkele's part only consists of a 'GL' text and a simple moderate-sized spike jump.
- 22-26% (Platnuu): A brief mini-ship segment with numerous invisible teleport portals followed by brief mini-game-modes consisting of the ball, UFO and cube. Halfway to Platnuu's part, the gameplay now uses difficult wave segments before ending with a ship.
- 26-30% (loltad + Killa): While the player goes to Platnuu's last ship part, the level's style proactively transitions to the next part. It is another brief cube section, a difficult robot section consisting of many columns, then goes into a timing-based UFO segment and a brief ship dual. The segment then fades to black for the next part.
- 30-36% (Yonaka): The next part is a difficult cube section utilising slope platforms and gravity changes. As the drop of the song starts, the player is led to a difficult ship part. This part utilises speed changes, extremely tight wave segments, gravity changes and straight-flying.
- 36-41% (Smokes): Smokes' part closely resembles his part in Phobos. While on a cube part, the player must hit the black orb and enter the ship segment. This ship segment requires the player to hold sparingly as black orbs are in the rather tight section, discouraging the player from clicking more than once. If done right, the player goes into a gravity portal with double-speed, followed by a quadruple-speed wave segment which shares similar gameplay to the previous part's wave segment, albeit utilising D blocks. The player must enter a brief cube section, a ship segment and a quadruple-speed spider section. Afterwards, they enter an auto-cube section.
- 41-46% (Juhou + Tygrysek): Tygrysek's part is a reminiscent to both his part in Phobos and Juhou's part in Zodiac; consisting of vibrant flashing colours. This part starts with a ship dual. The part goes into a brief mini-cube section demanding timed orb jumps, then another tight wave segment, before ending with a ship segment in a colourful tunnel of thorny hazards.
- 46-51% (Licentious): Licen's part uses a decoration style closer to Digital Disarray, a collaboration with Giron and Vlacc, utilising slope platforms. The part starts as a brief ball section, followed by a spam-based cube section. There is one fake blue orb as caution. The part goes into a brief auto before being followed by a quadruple-speed ship segment. There are always brief cube parts predating the segments before each ship section.
- 51-56% (Lieb): This part consists of brief orb jump-based cube sections and then followed by a tight wave segment using D blocks. Next is a difficult UFO segment and then a half-speed cube section, primarily consisting of a gravity change.
- 56-58% (PokeChatt): As the first drop ends, the level's pacing becomes slower. PokeChatt's part goes into a slow yet difficult ship consisting of gravity changes and carefully manoeuvring to avoid hitting the spike columns. Halfway goes into a difficult UFO, which uses pink orb jumps.
- 58-62% (river): river's part consists of numerous brief game-modes with difficult timed jumps and speed/gravity changes.
- 62-64% (Alkali): Alkali's part is a slow albeit tight ship segment where the player must carefully manoeuvre a claustrophobic section full of spiky tunnels. His part is based on DreamEater's part in Phobos.
- 64-69% (ItsHybrid): A timed slope jump where the player must avoid the mini spikes with precise timing, followed by a difficult ship segment which goes into a straight-fly segment halfway. The colour scheme goes red before entering a brief auto UFO segment at the end. The red-coloured section is based on Andromeda's part in Phobos.
- 69-74% (Antares): As the song hits the second drop, the screen then flashes to transition into a difficult fast-paced network of brief sections. Antares's part has a claustrophobic design, and the screen fades out to separate each segment.
- 74-79% (Zipixbox): A brief ship segment with fake routes and orbs followed by a UFO segment which follows the same gameplay as the former, followed by a wave segment consisting of blue orb gravity changes and a short ball section. His part then ends with a straight-fly-oriented ship segment.
- 79-84% (GrenadeofTacos): A sync-based cube section orb with numerous speed changes. There is a brief wave segment between the two cube sections with moving slope platforms and size changes, followed by a brief ship and UFO segment and ends with a pink orb cube jump.
- 84-89% (Parallax): Parallax's part is inspired by neon-themed effects, consisting of two opposing colours. The level goes into a cube section followed by a spam-oriented wave segment and two mini-straight-fly sections. Next is a green orb cube jump and gravity change-oriented robot section, and then a series of orb jumps before finally ending the section with a moderate timing ball section.
- 89-92% (EndLevel): The text 'Final Stretch.' can be seen before the screen transitions to EndLevel's part. EndLevel's part is solely a fast-paced cube section with many gravity changes and orb timings.
- 92-95% (ryamu): A very difficult mini-cube/ship dual with invisible blocks and colour flashes. This part resembles the infamous unnerfed part of Riqirez in Phobos.
- 95-100% (ItsHybrid): The level ends with the end-screen credits showing the level's name and the text 'Congratulations, you have completed one of the hardest megacollabs in Geometry Dash.' much like in the nerfed Phobos. The list of creators who participated in the mega-collaboration can be seen before the screen fades into black.

- ↑ Originally, the GDSkele version was deemed the official sequel. However, since GMTSean, the original host of Phobos, considered the ItsHybrid version the official, GDSkele's Deimos is now considered a 'remake' of the latter.
