Escape loneliness, Follow the path of Flowers, Follow that path ... of your Dreams - Knots + Xender Game.

―Xender Game

Dream flower is a 2.1 XL Easy Demon collaboration created by Xender Game and Knots and verified and published by Xender Game on November 16, 2020. It was Epic-rated the following day. The level is praised by most of the community for its high quality design, aesthetic appeal, and great gameplay. According to the level's creators, it has no set theme, but rather a full on emotional release. The main goal was to try to inspire players to unlock their feelings, especially during the time this was released, with many issues globally such as the COVID-19 pandemic.

About the level, Xender Game states the following;[1]

Now when looking through the level, you might notice that theres no[t] really a direct theme, this level is made to be a full on emotional release, our feelings [o]ver this exhausting period of pandemic that is affecting the world. [M]any of us may have locked a little bit of ourself inside, many of us might find lost of [our] paths, uncertain of [our] futures... feeling lonely, feeling trapped inside.

But theres always one path that we never forget, a path of who you want to become, a path of what you want to achieve. Let the flowers guide you, step by step, make it fall into reality, make your dreams... come true!

As everyone can tell that Knots' part start from predrop to the first big epic drop, [Knots] made everything that is expected and everything that is unexpected, to express every [piece of] art into feelings, every block filled with emotions. Theres no creator [quite] like Knots, [with] the ability to make this level alive, [have a] full on release of emotions, varieties of dreams, and imo he has smashed every aspect perfectly. And [to] truly represent a place, where dreams come true.

Gameplay[]

  • 0-11% (Xender Game): Dream Flower begins with a single-speed cube section featuring easy timings and orbs where the player must jump in between spikes on different levels of platforms, before reaching a dash orb that will take them to another cube section similar to the first. There is a short transition into a single-speed ball section with a short triple-speed bounce. The ball gameplay has the player maneuvering between a couple of platforms at utilizing some gravity portals and dash orbs to get to the next platform. After this ball section, there is a long double-speed dash orb with detailed background changes to hit a pink pad into the next mini-cube section. After turning mini, the player must navigate a series of timings in aid of pads as well as two short mini-spider timings to hit a dash orb into another section of similar mini-cube gameplay. This transitions into a short ship section with a couple gravity changes before heading into a small UFO section with a slight spam. The player is led into another mini-cube section at double-speed, which utilizes decoration such as bubbles, boxes, and shelves as platforms that the player must navigate around. Throughout this section, the player goes from cube to mini-ball, and to mini-robot. Finishing out the section, the robot must make a large leap to another dash orb, as the background changes from what appears to be a white Beluga Whale to a cup. The player becomes a cube, and falls down some platforms to become a half-speed spider. This spider goes between many platforms with semi-tight timings. Background-wise, the theme is city/industrial, and has neon colors and signs. The spider utilizes some pads and orbs but mainly goes up and down between platforms of different sizes and heights.
  • 11-54% (Knots): Knots' first part in Dream Flower starts on a platform with the texts "Dreamland" and "Knots in" as the player transitions from half-speed to double-speed. This cube section has easy timings with one pink orb. After that, the player becomes a ball and must navigate in between a sloped and non-sloped platform with a few spikes. When hitting a gravity portal, the player turns into a spider and must hit two black orbs that bounce them directly into pink pads, while also navigating between platforms. After the spider section, the player becomes a cube again and must hit four orbs in sync with the music before switching gravity and navigating spikes and platforms of different levels, similar to the beginning of the level. The song starts the buildup as the player hits a green dash orb. While in the dash orb, the player becomes triple-speed as the background shifts to the top of a building with a crescent moon. The song hits the drop and the player becomes a half-speed ship before immediately transitioning into another dash orb.
  • 54-87% (Xender Game): Xender Game's second part begins with a dual ball section that starts out easy in double-speed, before rapidly transitioning into quadruple-speed and throwing a small number of orb timings and a size change. It is mostly symmetrical and fairly easy to clear, save for the constant flashing lights. At ~60% is a dual mini-spider segment featuring similar gameplay to the previous area as well as a section where one spider is mini and both must travel through the correctly sized passages. After a couple more jump orb and dash orb timings, the player enters a short cube section and then quickly transitions through multiple game-modes in quadruple-speed: first a ball part, then a UFO part with some quick timings, then a ball part, a ship section, then a cube section where the player must hit four jump orbs and hold down a green dash orb while also hitting three white diamond-like switches as the screen gradually fades to white. To conclude Xender Game's part, the player enters a half-speed portal and then a normal-speed one, then must contend with a few tricky cube timings and gravity switches.
  • 87-100% (Knots): Knots' second part begins with a mini-cube section featuring some easy timings. Next is a short and easy mini-spider segment, then a second mini-cube section with more easy obstacles. Afterward, there is a trivial ship sequence where the player must fly around several hovering obstacles that slightly blend into the background. Finally, the level ends with a picture of a flower, the level's title screen, and a picture with text saying, "where Flowers blossom" and "where Dreams come true".
