Not to be confused with the level of the same name by MrSpaghetti.

TrusTa is a skilled Swedish player and level creator in Geometry Dash who rapidly gained popularity after completing several Extreme Demons such as Bloodbath,[2] Sakupen Hell,[3] and The Flawless,[4] (out of which the two latter he verified). Many people say that he was the best player in the world due to him completing Sakupen Hell, once thought of as an impossible Demon, and the fact that Surv and Riot had quit (though both have returned shortly afterward).

After a long period of absence from the game, he has recently returned (using 360 fps) and completed the RGB trilogy by beating Sonic Wave on August 1, 2021[5] and Erebus on August 13, 2021.[6] He also beat Eternal Moment on August 26, 2021, setting his new hardest Demon at the time.[7]

On November 8, 2021, he announced that he had quit his job to pursue his YouTube career as his new full-time job, and thus announcing an active return to the game.[8] He released another video three days later where he asked his chat what Extreme Demon he should beat next out of 13 different options. After a close battle with Omicron, the chat chose Digital Descent,[9] and after three streams into playing the level, he beat the level on stream as the first Extreme Demon in his new job.

On December 6, 2021, he announced that he will be attempting to beat The Golden, a former Top 1 Demon.

He beat Wasureta on March 27, 2022.[10]

He beat The Rupture on May 3, 2022, which is his current hardest Demon.

Conflicts[]

  • Yatagarasu Nerfs: After crashing at 95% on Yatagarasu sometime in early January 2017, Trusta went back and nerfed Michigun’s and FunnyGame’s parts and soon after, finally verified the level on January 13. However, the nerfs were drastic enough to bring it down from the #1 spot on the Geometry Dash Demonlist. With it being advertised as such, the community did not take kindly to Trusta nerfing it. He was subsequently criticized and memed for a few months. As time went on, however, people began to realize how unbearable unnerfed Yatagarasu was and how much better Trusta had made the level. Nowadays, the meme has mostly died, although Trusta still jokes about it on stream and gets messages about it occasionally.
  • Verification Service: On April 18, 2022, Trusta announced his new Verification Service, where people could pay to have their levels verified by him. However, the prices were quickly put into question, as just the verification of an Easy Demon would set the creator back $10. This subsequently split the community in two, with some members saying they support the idea and Trusta should be allowed to do what he wants, and others saying this completely destroyed any respect they had for him. Trusta would end up cancelling his service the following day.
  • Galaxy Collapse (Surjaco): In late April of 2022, Surjaco uploaded some small percentage runs of the unnerfed version of Galaxy Collapse, which had previously been nerfed to Top 10-15 so as to make the level more enjoyable. However, the copy he was playing on was leaked by Vernam. Trusta wanted Surjaco to stop playing the level. However, every time he tried to comment something, a bug with YouTube prevented the comment from going through, which Trusta saw it as Surjaco removing his comments. He also accused Surjaco of trying to paint himself as a “secret verifier” with the evidence that he was hearting any comments left portraying him as such. Eventually, they talked it out through Discord, and their conflict ended.

History[]

On August 24, 2015, TrusTa achieved 77% on 8o.[11]

On October 25, 2015, he achieved great progress on the Extreme Demon Bloodbath with 26%.[12] He later stated he intended to go through with beating the level. Afterward, he beat the Hard Demon Breakthrough and the Insane Demon Windy Landscape, on January 11 and February 12, 2016, respectively.

On May 22, 2016, TrusTa completed 8o.[13]

On June 17, 2016, TrusTa became the ninth person to beat Bloodbath.[2] This victory gained him many subscribers and much popularity (with over 62,000 subs). He also completed Bloodbath a second time, using the alternate "Michigun route" at that level on October 23, 2016, with his first try in ~400 attempts.[14]

On August 14, 2016, TrusTa became the first to beat and verify Sakupen Hell by Noobas legitimately – a Demon once thought impossible.[3] This gained him nearly three thousand more subscribers on YouTube.

On September 2, 2016, after Surv, the initial verifier of Yatagarasu quit, TrusTa was asked to verify it. He said that he may nerf the level to make it slightly easier. He finally verified the level on January 13, 2017,[15] reaching 95%,[16] 87%, 73%, 64%, 63%, 58%, 57% three times, 50% a few times, 34-95% once and 36-100% once in the process. It remained his hardest Demon for four years.

On March 16, 2017, TrusTa achieved a start position run of 42-50% and 80-99% on Riot's buffed version of Bloodbath, nicknamed Buffbath.[17]

On August 14, 2017, TrusTa verified Paradox Theory by CairoX in ~1,500 attempts.[18]

On September 23, 2017, TrusTa beat UltraSonic.[19]

On June 7, 2018, TrusTa uploaded his gameplay part in Night Rider. It was very fast-paced and featured very difficult dual segments.[20] Over a month later on August 22, 2018, TrusTa beat what would eventually become his final ever Demon achievement in the game, being Dark Rivalry.[21]

Around January 2019, TrusTa announced via his Community tab that he would be stepping down from Geometry Dash. He explained that his YouTube and Geometry Dash spirit simply died out.[22]

On February 12, 2019, TrusTa achieved 22% on his mega-collaboration WOW. In the video description, he stated that this will be the final thing he is doing in his career.[23] Just one week later on February 19, 2019, he made a start position run of 34-82%, thus mastering the spam parts.[24] However, about a month later on March 22, 2019, TrusTa dropped WOW and passed it to npesta,[25] who quickly achieved 31% on the same day.[26] npesta eventually verified the level on April 23, 2019.

On May 10, 2021, TrusTa announced on Twitter that he was slowly getting back into Geometry Dash, and had beaten the Extreme Demons Daydream, Acu, and Precipitance.[27] Soon after, he beat Digital Disarray, Want Me, and HURRICANE, with Digital Disarray awarding him his 10,000th star.[28][29]

On May 28, 2021, he beat INNARDS, which was his hardest Demon since his return to the game.[30] He called this achievement "the beginning of my new chapter," and stated that he wants to eventually beat a level harder than Yatagarasu.[31]

TrusTa beat Forbidden Isle and Red World on June 9, 2021, bringing his total Extreme Demon count to thirty.[32][33] He then beat Artifice,[34] Concaved Memories,[35] Volume,[36] Twisted Tranquility,[37] and Penombre[38] within just over a week.

On August 1, 2021, he finally dethroned his hardest demon Yatagarasu by completing Sonic Wave. It took him barely over 28,000 attempts, which is pretty low for a level of such difficulty. He then finally finished the RGB off with Erebus on August 13, 2021. After this, he beat Sigma Interface by Platnuu and revealed that he was once again working on a new hardest.

On August 26, 2021, he knocked Sonic Wave off the threshold of his hardest demon by completing Eternal Moment. Even though Eternal Moment is significantly harder than Sonic Wave, it took him roughly 6,511 more attempts to complete the latter than to complete the former. Also, on September 20, 2021, TrusTa beat Titan Complex. However, he did not know that the Demonlist now requires raw footage for acceptance of records. Since he doesn't have raw footage of Eternal Moment and he beat Titan Complex while muted, those records will not be accepted on his Pointercrate profile.

On November 8, 2021, TrusTa announced that he had resigned from his job to play Geometry Dash full time. He can stream on Twitch and upload on YouTube regularly once again. He stated that this was his dream job, and it was exciting for him to actually pull through and be able to do what he loves. He began practicing Digital Descent on the first day. He beat the level within three days, stating that he had a lot of fun, which, interestingly enough, goes against the opinion of almost every victor of Digital Descent.

On May 17, 2022, Trusta stated that he will quit full time YouTube after summer.[39][40]
