Cybernetic Crescent is a 2.1 Extreme Demon mega-collaboration hosted and published by Viprin and verified by Technical on 7 January 2021. It is the third and final installment of the Technology Trilogy, preceded by Artificial Ascent and Digital Descent.
Gameplay[]
- 0-6% (Codex): Similar to Artificial Ascent and Digital Descent, the level starts with Codex's part. Out of the whole level, this is commonly known as the simplest and easiest part. The part starts with a triple spike and then goes into a normal speed cube. This part contains very simple timings, although there are clusters of orbs the player has to navigate through.
- 6-13% (Shocksidian): Shocksidian's part starts with a half-speed ship, and the gameplay here is mostly just tight flying with a single anti-gravity portal and a single speed portal. In the middle of the part, there's a brief double-speed cube maze. Following this maze is some more tight flying, keeping the same speed.
- 13-19% (Rustam): Then, the speed slows down to normal speed and the player becomes a cube. First, the player jumps onto a blue orb leading into another blue orb leading into a blue pad. After this, the player must time a green orb and a pink orb to get through the wave portal later on. Once the player reaches the wave portal, they have to do a very brief spamming segment. Following this, the player turns back into a cube. However, this cube does not last very long, as it features three orbs-- a yellow orb, a blue orb, and a green orb. Then, the player turns into a ship. The player needs to straight fly to get launched down into a blue portal, and then they must fly up into an anti-gravity mini-cube portal. In this segment, the player needs to jump a total of two times to turn into a big cube. After a short auto staircase, the player must time a yellow orb and a pink orb to get into the wave portal later on. Once again, this wave features a very brief spam and then follows up with a cube portal. The part finally ends with a triple spike and a green orb timing.
- 19-25% (Ferdefunky): This part is a robot section where you have to hit orbs to get on moving platforms followed by a ball part where you have to switch gravity and hit orbs with strange and specific timings. This part ends with a single robot jump.
- 26-31% (G4lvatron): G4lvatron's part is mostly orb timings in the half-speed cube game mode.
- 31-36% (Nasgubb):The song becomes quieter and ramps up slowly starting the pre-drop. This part is a tight mini-ship part where the player has to move blocks and enter gravity portals to shift the blocks and clear a path.
- 36-43% (Viprin + EnZore): This part begins with a ship part where the player has to fly up to reach the cube portal. After the player reaches the cube portal they have to hit two green orbs and finally a blue to change gravity. Then, a few gravity changes happen, followed by the player having to jump into a ball portal. This ball section doesn't last long, as there is one red orb leading into a ship section. This ship section is decently tight and even features a yellow orb to throw the player off. Finally, the part ends with some wave spam.
- 43-53% (Samifying): Then, the drop starts. The decoration here is similar to that in Sedulous. The speed accelerates up to quadruple speed, and the player immediately has to hit two orbs, those being a black orb leading into a green orb. The green orb leads the player into a very brief dual, where the player must hit a black orb to get shot up into a ball portal. After the player hits a pink orb, the game mode switches back to the cube. Now, the player has to spam-hit three orbs to get to the next portal, that portal being a UFO portal. However, this UFO is extremely short, as there is only a single jump. Then, the player must hit two black orbs swiftly to continue into a ship segment. This ship segment is simply just flying down, and then flying up. Following this is the halfway point of the part, marked by a half-speed auto cube part. After the break ends, the player immediately gets shot up into a UFO portal. In this brief UFO section, the player has to do three things to get back into a cube. Then, the player has to hit a blue orb, leading into a red orb and a half-speed portal, which then leads into a green orb. Finally, the part ends with a black orb leading into a green orb twice.
- 53-61% (Vlacc): Right as Vlacc's part starts, the player must do three very swift hits in the UFO game mode at triple speed. Then, the speed slows down to half speed and the player becomes a cube. The player is required to jump onto a pink orb leading into a blue orb timing. After the blue orb timing, the player must jump into a double-speed wave portal where they now have to do some decently awkward hits to pass it. Once the player passes the wave, they turn back into a cube, and the player proceeds to get slammed on the ground by a black orb. After the black orb timing, the player becomes a triple-speed anti-gravity mini-ship, and they must do some fairly awkward flying. The twist here is the player can only do two clicks because of all the black orbs everywhere. Following this is a half-speed transition, and the part ends with quadruple-speed blue orb hits and a red orb hit at triple speed.
- 62-71% (TheDevon): Next is TheDevon's part. This part is known as one of the more inconsistent parts of the level because of the high amounts of memorization, similar to his part in Digital Descent. The part begins with the player having to spam click four orbs, those being a red orb, a pink dash orb, a green orb, and a black orb. The black orb leads to a blue pad, and the player will have to jump directly after hitting the blue pad. Following this is a single jump leading into a blue orb timing. After the blue orb timing, the player's size decreases into a mini-cube, and the player must hit two orbs, the second one leading into a black orb. Then, the player must hit two pads and then a yellow orb. The yellow orb leads into a blue portal with a single blue orb in it, and the player must hit the orb to become a big cube. Following this is a red orb and a blue orb. Then, for a very brief moment, the speed slows down to half-speed and the player falls into a 4x speed portal. After the level accelerates, the player must jump onto a blue pad and then immediately hit a green orb followed by a blue orb. While the player is still holding the blue orb, they must jump off of a platform into a black orb. The black orb leads into a brief 2x speed ship downward straight-fly segment, and finally, the part ends with some tight 3x speed wave timings.
- 71-81% (Serponge): Serponge's part mostly revolves around two game modes, those being the cube and the ball. The part starts with four cube jumps, with no timing included. On the fourth jump, a red orb appears, and it shoots the player onto a blue orb which leads into a ball portal. This ball section starts with two green orbs, followed by a slope that shoots the player into a resting position at the bottom. However, this rest doesn't last long, as the player now has to time a green orb to get through two saws. Then, the speed accelerates up to quadruple speed, followed by an immediate green orb. After this, a slope shoots the player into a yellow orb, which leads into a green orb. Again, the green orb leads into a slope that shoots the player down into a red orb. Then, this happens again. The second red orb forces the player into a green orb which finally leads the player into another green orb. The part ends with some spam-clicking in the cube game mode.
- 82-87% (Hinds): Finally, the drop ends. Hinds' part is entirely 1x speed mini-cube with some decently strange timings, reminiscent of KrmaL's gameplay. The part begins with a single jump not leading into anything, but following it is a jump that leads to two blue orb hits. After this, the player falls and they have to attempt a very strange yellow orb timing. If the player manages to pass it, they have to jump into a yellow orb leading into two blue orb hits. Following this, the player has to attempt another timing, this being to hit the corner of a spike and fall into more blue orb hits. The part ends with the player jumping into a blue pad and then proceeding to hit a yellow orb. The rest of the part is automatic.
- 87-97% (Terron): The level ends with Terron's part. The part begins with the player jumping onto a 2x speed portal, and if they keep holding, they turn into a robot. The robot simply jumps onto a green orb which leads into a ball. However, this ball only contains a single hit. The hit leads into a steep slope which launches the player into a UFO portal. Similar to the ball, this segment only contains one hit. The hit leads into a brief wave segment with two hits, and after the second hit, the player briefly becomes a cube for an automatic transition. Following the transition, the player goes into a dual portal where they have to jump a single time only to be turned into a wave on both sides. The gameplay here is a single dash orb for about two seconds, then some spam-hitting, another dash orb at the top of the screen, and some brief automatic gameplay in the robot game mode.
- 97-100% (Zalspr + Firs): Finally, the level ends with a five-second end screen. First, the title of the level comes up, followed by an art piece of the moon along with the texts "Hosted by Viprin", and "Verified by Technical".
Easter Eggs[]
- There are a total of four Easter eggs scattered throughout the level.
Swag Route[]
- If the player takes a skip in Codex's part at 5%, some text will appear at the same percentage, stating: "SWAG ROUTE MOMMY MADE IT".
NOVEDEHT[]
- Similar to other mega-collaborations TheDevon has participated in, if the player dies while his name is on-screen, his name will become backward, stating: "NOVEDEHT".
Sheikah Alphabet[]
- In Nasgubb's part, there are little symbols in a few of the blocks. These symbols are from the Sheikah Alphabet, an alphabet from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The text decoded would say this: "I INVITE NAS TO GEOSTORM SUPER MEGA YOUTUBE THANK BROS BLIZZARD GIRL BUILT 12 THIS PLEASE SUBSCRIBE I. LOVE. D*CK."
End Screen Faces[]
- Finally, the end screen faces. Throughout Codex' part, Ferdefunky's part, Vlacc's part, and TheDevon's part, there are invisible coins that unlock big coins that cause faces to appear on the end screen.
Codex's Coins[]
- three coins in this part unlock the first big coin.
- At 2%, the player must hit a blue orb later than usual and land on a platform located towards the top of the screen.
- At 3%, instead of falling onto a platform up ahead, the player must jump onto it, as the coin is above them.
(*At 4%, directly after hitting a blue pad, the player must precisely jump to collect the third and final coin in this part.
Ferdefunky's Coins[]
- Similar to Codex' part, 3 coins in this part unlock the second big coin.
- At 20%, the player must ignore a blue orb falling onto a block on the bottom (where the coin is located), and then proceed to jump back up.
- At 24%, instead of hitting a yellow orb, the player must fall on the bottom and then flip back up onto a block and collect the coin.
- At 25%, directly after collecting the second coin, the player must hop onto a small edge next to some mini-spikes to collect the third and final coin in this part.
Vlacc's Coin[]
- In this part, the player only needs to collect one coin to unlock the third big coin.
- At 58%, the player needs to fly through a very tight space towards the bottom of the screen to collect the coin. This timing is very difficult, as trying to time it will likely result in the player hitting one of the black orbs scattered throughout.
TheDevon's Coin[]
- Finally, TheDevon's coin. This part contains two coins that the player needs to collect to unlock the fourth big coin.
- Both coins are located in the final wave segment of the part, and the player must precisely time click through gears (both at 70%) to collect these coins.
Result[]
- If the player collects one big coin, then Pepe The Frog will appear on the end screen.
- If the player collects two big coins, then Pepe The Frog and a Troll Face will appear on the end screen.
- If the player collects three big coins, then Pepe The Frog, a Troll Face, and a Bunny Icon used by players such as Icedcave and Cyclic will appear on the end screen.
- If the player collects all four big coins, then Pepe The Frog, a Troll Face, the Bunny Icon, and Gawr Gura will appear on the end screen.
