ToshDeluxe (Toshey in-game) is a skilled Dutch player in Geometry Dash. He has a large presence on YouTube from his numerous recordings of Demon levels and his first recordings of some impossible Demons including Silent Circles, Silent Processing, Sonic Wave v2, Theory of Silent, and many more. These videos would lead into the "Impossible Series", which consists of gameplays of various impossible levels composed of noclip and speed hacks (formerly start positions, cuts, auto, and practice mode). He has also started a series called "Memories Series", where he plays levels from previous updates and more obscure levels. Despite his large popularity, he is heavily disliked due to a history of behavior that many have deemed as toxic as well as for using clickbait titles for some of his YouTube videos.

History[]

This section is a stub. You can help by extending it to show your Wiki love!

ToshDeluxe initially joined YouTube on November 16, 2013, and his first video was a video of his official channel intro, which was used for the start of his channel and most of the time of his career during Update 1.9.[1]

After that, ToshDeluxe just uploaded videos of random games such as The World's Hardest GameRed Ball 4FUELFlappy Bird, etc. He first came in contact with Geometry Dash when he beat the first six levels on June 8, 2014, about half a year after it came out.[2]

Six months later, on December 12, 2014, ToshDeluxe beat Blast Processing, his first "official" Geometry Dash video, after doing a gameplay video of it.[3] Afterward, he became a small-time Geometry Dash channel, creating countless videos of random 1.9 levels. However, when he uploaded a Practice Mode montage of Sakupen Hell with cuts, it quickly blew up in popularity, gaining over a thousand views.[4]

ToshDeluxe continued making random videos of levels and montages of unreleased levels, gaining several views from videos on Deadlocked, the new official level for Update 2.0 that RobTop had previewed. He even did a 1.9 remake video of it, which gained thousands of views and added to his fanbase.[5] ToshDeluxe followed that up by uploading another practice montage video on the old version of The Hell Factory a month after the one on Sakupen Hell, gaining even more views than the latter.[6]

On August 13, 2015, ToshDeluxe uploaded his third practice montage video - on Bloodbath.[7] This quickly became his newest and most popular video, gaining over 100,000 views.

On January 10, 2016, he started a series called the “Best Levels Ever" series, which is a sarcastic series in which he plays a poorly made level as an appreciation for their so-called "hard work," but canceled after four installations soon afterward. It was later retooled and renamed the “Recent Levels” series but got canceled again.

On January 21, 2021, he completed Sonic Wave, making it his current hardest Demon.[8]

Conflicts[]

  • Devil Vortex Accusations Conflict - After ToshDeluxe verified Devil Vortex on April 21, 2017, several players accused Tosh of hacking due to "lag spikes" in the video and the queer suspicion of Tosh verifying the level extremely quickly, despite its sheer difficulty.
  • NoctaFly Exposal Scandal - After ToshDeluxe accused Noctalium (formerly NoctaFly) of hacking Death Corridor, the community looked into it more. Several notable players, such as Riot and Combined, including ToshDeluxe, worked collectively to expose NoctaFly for hacking Death Corridor and other levels. Eventually, NoctaFly confessed and changed his username to Noctalium.
  • NuclearNacho False Donation Conflict - In December 2017, ToshDeluxe donated $3,000 to assist NuclearNacho, whose family was experiencing financial difficulties. This donation turned out to be a troll since NuclearNacho insulted ToshDeluxe a while ago. Although the two eventually came to a shaky compromise, ToshDeluxe refused to apologize, and his behavior was called into question.
  • ToshDeluxe Exposal Conflict - Several skilled players, including Technical, DiamondSplash, Sonic80, and npesta, worked together to create an exposal video about ToshDeluxe. This video accuses him of hacking several of his notable achievements, including his achievement of verifying Devil Vortex and completing Unnerfed Paracosm Circles (thanks to discovering weird objects at the top of the editors of those levels). ToshDeluxe hit back with a response video a month later, claiming that most of these points were either false or were assumptions made by the list editors to manipulate the community against him.[9] The accusations are universally accepted as true by top players and list staff, suggesting it is extremely likely the levels were hacked. On July 23, 2023, zcylix revealed a pulse on one part of the wave in the level, definitively proving ToshDeluxe hacked the level by making some parts auto via the use of invisible blue pads. However, eventually, ToshDeluxe beat Devil Vortex legitimately, and since then, the drama has stopped.
  • The Dark Side of ToshDeluxe Conflict - RoiMousti, a skilled French Geometry Dash player and creator, worked with several others, such as Kapinapi (a skilled Polish player) to call out ToshDeluxe for numerous accusations in a video titled "The Dark Side of ToshDeluxe". This video called him out for being aware of underage users on his Discord Server yet doing nothing about it. Tosh also got accused of doxxing users by publicly posting direct messages of them telling Tosh their personal information, defending a pedophile by the name of Twingy, and refusing to ban him despite evidence showing his inappropriate behavior. Other accusations were having admitted to looking at nude pictures of underage girls and seemingly bragging about them on his Discord server. There are examples of him demonstrating toxic behavior towards the people who criticize him.[10] In response, ToshDeluxe made a video titled "The Bright Side of ToshDeluxe". He tried defending his actions and making various points on how RoiMousti's video made several claims without any context or evidence.[11] Both of these videos have been deleted.
  • ToshDeluxe vs. Geometry Dash Server Drama - On January 8, 2020, ToshDeluxe uploaded a video to his channel that addressed the server and many of its flaws directly. This video would be in collaboration with Mythra, RedHuseey, and Chara. Tosh addresses the fact that he got banned three times from the server despite not once breaking a rule, that the response to this is that they are allowed to ban people who are well-known rule breakers outside of the server. This response makes sense for users like infamous raiders, but Tosh was not a raider, and he believed he should have been considered innocent until proven guilty. They also address how many of the rules on the server are very vague and only seem to apply to certain situations where it is convenient for the staff and how the rules are also lacking because of poor wording enforcement. They also express how whenever a staff member is being unreasonable, any attempt to talk to head staff and DMs about it leads to being made fun of or only being given answers. Ironically, they also show a big push on the server for everything to be resolved in DMs with staff, but the interactions in these DMs go nowhere. It did not apply to all staff. They also went into detail about some situations involving Pauze and other mods that show a hefty amount of bias among them. All in all, the video Tosh and Mythra may manage to capture unrest that many community members had felt toward the server and put it into a 15-minute exposure, leading to it spreading around the community quite quickly. Many people stood behind what was said in the video despite Tosh not being the most respected person in the community. While not necessarily handled most respectfully in the video, it was still well explained. This drama has led to many changes on the server today, though things got intense in some other scenarios on Twitter. It eventually died, and both parties moved away from each other.
